Confused about ESEE

I've been looking into ESEE knives but there's a tremendous amount of confusion.

Apparently, they used to be Ontario Knife and were known as RAT or RTAK. But they're now a separate company called ESEE, or maybe Randall's Adventure & Training, and the knives are called ESEE-[n] or RC...maybe Izula. It looks like Ontario still exists. To make matters worse, bladeforums "ESEE" section has been archived and hasn't received comments in two years. Also, there's no Wikipedia info.

Can you guys point me to an area in this forum where I can find out more about them?

jeff randall and mike perrin are survival instructors and knife designers that started out designing knives and ontario manufactured their designs under the ontario brand. later jeff and mike decided to start their own company and it was called r.a.t (randall's adventure & training) and rowen manufactured their knives. during this time ontario kept using the word "rat" and it was confusing customers so jeff/mike decided to change their company name to esee.

izula is a knife model that esee/rowen makes...here's esee's company history: http://www.eseeknives.com/history.htm. esee has their own forum now: http://jungletraining.com/forums/forum.php

a quick way to find out if a knife is made by esee/rowen and not ontario is to look for the word "rowen" that's visible on the right side of the blade. an exception to this is the lite machete - the blade itself is made in el salvador and only the handle is made by esee.
