Being new to Kershaw folders I am confused about the lock types in the Leek model range. :confused:

It seems Leeks are available in both frame lock and liner lock despite bearing the same model name

From the Kershaw web site info it appears that these are:

Frame locks:

* Leek 1660;
* Leek 1660ST;
* Leek 1660CKT;
* Leek 1660CKTST;
* Rainbow Leek 1660VIB;
* Random Leek1660TSW.

Liner locks:

* Leek 1660BB;
* Leek 1660BR;
* Leek 1660G10.

Do any other Kershaw models have a mixture of line types with the same model name?

Isn't it fun being a newbie... not!:o

The Scallion has both a frame and liner lock. They do that because some people like one lock better than the other. Kevin :D

It all depends on handle materials used.

Leeks with steel handles get framelocked.
With aluminum scales, linerlock.

Same on the JYDII's.
Framelock on steel and Ti models
Linerlock on G-10 models.

Pretty normal for most knives made that way.
