I am hoping someone can help me in understanding the differences between these two knives, assuming there is a difference.
I see the BM 551 full size Griptilian from the usual sources I buy from, but am also seeing something on KnifeWorks site which says it is a Knife Works exclusive.
Here is a link to the Knife Works site:

(( not a paid BF dealer ))

Does anyone here have both the one in the link above And the usual BM 551?

Thanks everyone.

I think the only difference is the blade steel is S30V and different blade shape and/or grind?

not sure tho thats really just a guess

The difference is the blade, specifically the material (S30V instead of 154CM), shape ("taller" blade, higher grind than the regular Grip), and finish (stonewashed instead of satin).

Looks like the steel is different, but is the size of the blade, any different in dimensions?

Can't you tell by looking at the blades? Google the names of the knives and look at the pictures, neuron pretty much nailed it.

Chiefly, the standard Grips are 154CM while the current Ritters are S30V.

But if you want to compare apples to apples, say a Ritter vs. custom order S30V Grip from the BM website...
-Ritter is more of a drop point
-Ritter has a bit more belly curve
-Ritter's grind line is a bit higher
-Ritter's thumb ramp goes out past the thumbstud

yes I can tell. I replied before I had realized others had posted. Definitely a difference.
