I have a Bowie that has what looks like a fancy walnut burl handle and no etching on the blade. It is numbered 882.
I know the 140th anniversary has the etching, chestnut wood for the handle and is limited to 100 knives.
When I look in the 2010-2011 catalogue, page 30 the knife described is the one I think I have but the photo accompanying it looks like the chestnut handle without the blade etching.
To add to my confusion, a few adds on e-bay for the 140th anniversary bowie, show the same photo as in the catalogue.
Is the catalogue picture wrong? Are there three versions of the Bowie?
I am confused.
