Confused Over F1BM Prices

This is my first posting.
I want to buy one of these knives (Fallkniven F1BM) for my sons birthday. He's a pilot and wanted a survival knife to go into his survival kit. I went online and was stunned.
The prices ranged from $130 - $290. How can there be such a disparity? Need I be concerned that some of these are imitation?
Your opinions/comments will be much appreciated.

Thanks

I can't understand the price spread either, but the model you gave is the handmade F1 with micarta scales, they are much pricier than the standard textured handle. For its intended use, you might want to consider the much less expensive F1. Lots of bang for the buck.

It also depends on the sheath they come with. Ussually the ones with leather are cheaper.

Howdy,
On the web page for our benefactor, onestopknifeshop.com, I found this
http://www.1sks.com/store/fallkniven.html

FN-1 Fallkniven F1 Swedish Military Survival Knife - Brushed Finish / Leather Flap Sheath

Spark don't have a pic up yet. His page says that list price is $125.
