confused over GEC , help .

hi fellow knifers !
so I've been lusting over traditional knives as of late and think I've settled on " needing " a GEC . ( as a user ) .

I lıke the look of the #72 green micarta... or... is it the #42 ?
I dont really know why , maybe its the shear number of styles and patterns ( and different websites / catalogs ) but I find myself confused ?

sorry ... stupid questions ...

which is bigger 42 or 72 ?

is there a retailer in canada ?

( or should I wait for a smith and sons mudbug to come out ?? )

I don't know about a retailer in Canada but the 42 is bigger at 4 1/4 inches closed. The 72 is 3 7/8.

You can find the closed lengths by visiting the GEC website linked below. Hold your cursor over the "Collect By Pattern" tab, find the pattern in question and click on it, then click on any one of the photos. The closed length will be listed within the photo.

42 is on a 4 1/4" frame. 72 is on a 3 7/8" frame. So the 42 is bigger.
