:confused:Timberline knife, never made it ??

Hi all!

In -97(i think)Timberline was going to release a folder looking much like their Specwar, i never saw anything being for sale.

Does anyone have any information concerning this knife???
Any ideas appreciated!

The folding SPECWAR won as Blade magazine's knife of the year in -97...but it was never put into production for reasons unknown...I tried to find out the why's...but noone wanted to fess up...oh well..

Wonder why it never reached production ??
TMW, it's not quite like Mr.Emersons specwar, but does share some resemblence to it, don't have a picture to post either.

Any "insiders" from Timber line/GATCO online to share some facts ???

I was under the impression that Emerson decided not to let them produce it, much like he stopped Benchmade from making the 970 and 975. He was preparing his own production company and wanted to produce the knives himself. Thats what I was told anyway. This has not been confirmed though.
