Confusing Laws in OK

I'm an airman in training headed to Tinker AFB, which is in OK and was trying to make sense of the knife laws there. The info I tracked down using the links here all read the same and tend to focus mainly on guns and mixed in with the regulations regarding knives makes it very confusing. The way I read it, you can't carry any knife of any length unless you're hunting, hiking, or participating in a similar recreational activity. Am I reading the laws right and if not, could somebody correct me? Or better yet, could somebody boil it down to simple english?

While OK law does not appear to have any language specifically prohibiting manual folding knives nor certain kinds of fixed blades, it does include the vague "or any other offensive weapon" language, which pretty much means that anything could be interpreted as a weapon depending on the situation. City ordinances can always be more strict that state statutes as well.

More importantly, the AFB will be subject to its own rules regarding knives (and many other things for that that matter). Your only real option is to ask the AFB directly. It wouldn't do you any good to bring a knife only to get in trouble once you arrive at Tinker.
