The weekend is over and I've had a chance to go to recall about our local knife show.
Our forum member Darcy Ellis who goes by DELLis in our forum, won the awards for Best Bowie and Best of the Show ! His work in forging Damascus, grinding, guard styling and handle fitting, engraving, overall fit and finish as well as overall appealing design were a few of the features that won him these awards. As well he is already far into making quality liner locks.

It was a good time, met a bunch of nice folks. The awards were a pleasant surprise......I even sold a couple knives:D

Deffinitely well deserved awards! That is gorgeous man, and the patterning in the damascus looks perfect, great work! :thumbup:

Oh, and I thought you were talking bout the show in Seattle at first.. (wasn't really thinkin about another show as it's been on my mind since I missed)

Anyway, congrats again Darcy, I always enjoy your work :)

If I had managed best of show in Seattle my doorway would need widened to allow my head to fit thru:D

Gorgeous knife, Darcy. Fabulous lines, and holy shit does that guard look exquisite!!! LOVE the foward angling of it!!
 
Wow. I love that knife. Good flow and super good concept and execution with the fittings and engraving! I'm jealous.
 
Congrats Darcy. Bruce C was telling me about this, and I wasn't surprised when I heard the news.
 
Well done Darcy! And to think the judges almost missed getting your knife!

On a side note it was nice to meet you Frank N, and thanks for the tips!
