Congrats to Dexter Ewing on his "positive spin" new article in Blade Magazine!

Dexter wrote an article that appears in the March 2002 issue of Blade. It is on page 26 and is titled Benchmade On Top Of the World.
Now our Dex writes lots of articles, but this is a little different. It reports on Erik Weihenmayer and his wonderful story of being the first blind person to climb Mt.Everest. Benchmade was a sponsor, as well as lending technical assistance and equipment. Here's hoping this article gets picked up by other news services, because it is just the kind of positive story that needs to get to the public. It is a great story,well written. We all know knife people are good folks. Articles like this will help outsiders realize that too.

Thank you for the kind words, David (how much did you say this would cost me?? ) I had a lot of fun putting that one together. I sure wish there were more opportunities like this to showcase knives in a positive light; knife usage to accomplish something constructive and positive. Good PR for the industry as a whole, and good for us knife nuts too.

Maybe we should start emailing the article to all the media emails until it is picked up by one. Or we could just pick one and email questions to them until they start looking for the article. Once they call Benchmade we will know it worked. Just a thought. I get them every once in awhile.
