I hope that this post doesn't break any rules; that's certainly not my intent. I just want to acknowledge a friend and colleague who turned me onto BladeForums.
Josh, from Razor Edge Knives (REK), is a well-respected sharpener - modder - bladesmith on the forum. Whenever I see a post asking for a good sharpener, I recommend him: his work, his ethic, and his values are top-notch.
He recently was written up in a review by kitchenknifeguru.com as one of 5 professional sharpening services. As the reviewer put it, the 5 services he chose to review are the best of the best.
He writes about Josh:
Josh is the nicest, most competent, blade sharpener you’d ever want to meet. Josh, the sole owner/sharpener, has been a full-time professional knife sharpener since 2010. And all you need do is sample one of his blog entries (like, What is a regrind and how does it help my knife?) and you will be thoroughly convinced that this is a man who lives and breathes knife sharpening and its mastery.

Keep in mind that this was a review of the BEST OF THE BEST KITCHEN KNIFE SHARPENERS, and that this is not Josh's specialty! Here you have one of ours competing against the best in a narrowly focused sub-field, and his work shines.
Congratulations, Josh! Rock on, my friend.
