I was just flipping through my new BLADE magazine and.... low and behold, there is a picture of our very own Robert Dark along with a beautiful knife of his in the maker showcase.

VERY VERY COOL to see you in there my friend! :)

Saw that.... great looking blade, Robert.... to bad they couldn't find a decent photo of your face.:barf: Ha! I kill me.:p

Congratulations, sir... well deserved!

Congrats, Robert. I really need to subscribe to Blade, I feel like I'm in the dark here. They're profiling good makers and I don't even catch it. (I think that was a knifemaking pun of sorts...)

There's a Magazine?

Just kidding Thats great for Robert.

I gave away about 20 years of knife and blade magazines a couple years ago thinking..."I'll never get around to making knives" Ooops.

I still have a 1981 American Blade magazine I kept!

I don't know him but have been admiring his blades a lot recently so its good that his awesome talent is getting noticed even more. Congrats

Thanks guys. I sure appreciate those kind comments. Without the freely shared information and encouragement on these forums, I would still be ten years behind the learning curve.

I thank each and every one of you for your help along the way.

Robert

Congratulation Robert, well deserved.

On a side note, the featured knifemaker section is the only thing I miss from the Blade magazine.

I miss that too.

Why did you stop ?

I stopped subscribing the year after they stopped putting it in an envelope
Half my issues were missing, the other half were shredded & the address sticker has to go on the front cover photo instead of the back advertisement.

No amount of complaints filed at the Post office helped.
& I was sick of paying a premium for that bad service.

I stopped because this section was the only interesting thing to me. Most of the rest I perused in 5 minutes and since the funds where needed elsewhere (shop) I decided not to renew. Once in a blue moon an article was interesting but often not detailed enough and nothing I can't find a lot more about on here.
