Congrats to Trooper Donaldson.
WOW, that is really something to be proud of.
 
I take it the Victoria Cross is something along the lines of the US Congressional Medal of Honor where most of the medals are posthumous?

Guy's a true hero, no matter how you slice it.
 
Trooper Donaldson has joined a select group of real hero's.

His bravery is an inspiration to all.
 
What an inspiring tale of personal heroism and humility. I find both qualities, so amply demonstrated by Trooper Donaldson, to be thought provoking. What manner of men are these who are so courageous and so humble? Are they really just ordinary Joes, as they claim, or is there something in them that is over and above the rest of us?

Is his actual formal citation available on the web for viewing? I hate it when the press only publishes snips of the citation.
 
I'm sure he's telling the truth when he says he doesn't feel that he's a hero. But that guy risked his life to save other lives, and that's a hero in anybody's book. The world needs more like him!
