I started with a good idea.

I currently lead a men's group at our church. As part of my agenda each month, I have combined my love of collecting slipjoints with the presentation of an award for quiet leadership.

This month it was a Case congress knife. Our brother could not be there due to his wife's illness, but one of the other guys was looking at the knife. When closing it, it snapped close and bit his thumb. :(

Next month, it is a Tidioute #23.
Johnny does not get to even look at it. the way that alligator snaps, he could loose a whole arm!

Oh well there were good intentions at least, lol.

Thats really unfortunate. However, I'm sure most of us here have been cut at least once :D, but its different when someone else does it.

I don't know what it is with me and Buck 110's, but almost every time I have one out to touch up the edge, I get cut somehow
Never a 112, always a 110

Was with a friend one day when he was looking at an assisted opener in a store.

The owner, a friend of both of us, warned us: "Be careful, those knives will cut you and you won't even know it." Jim said he could tell it was sharp.

A couple minutes later we were trying to figure out where all the red stuff was coming from. The knife had laid his thumb open and he hadn't even realized he'd been bit. He bought the knife!

the wor recent cut was when i tried to open all 3 blades of a bulldog trapper so i could wipe all the blades at one time . the smallest blade snapped open with such force it drove my finger into another open edge. cut to the bone but i was lucky since the cut was on the back not front of that finger.never will try that again.
