Just finished this congress whittler (not available). A very challenging build as most whittlers seem to be:eek:.

3 5/8 closed length
CPM D2 blades/springs and center tapered liner.
Integral 416 liners/bolsters
Sheepsfoot master blade
Pen and manicure/file secondary blades
Half-stop all blades
Threaded bolsters
Pinned curved bar shield
Antique tortoise shell covers backed up with 22k gold leaf
Coined inside center tapered liner
2 oz

Thanks for the looks and comments welcome.

You did say you were doing the forum knives this year, didn't you? ;)

Kidding! That is simply stunning. Well done!

I had heard that as well, and the manicure blade is a nice addition :D
Jokes aside....Ken, another fantastic knife, and the tortoise shell scales really fit this pattern :)

Real nice knife. I like seeing a file on a little bigger knife. They are most often smaller, 3 to 3 3/8".
Great detailing - I can see that coined liner peeking in one pic! Great work, Ken!

Ken, the only thing that compares to seeing a new thread started by you is being a kid on Christmas Eve. Great knife!

A beauty Ken. Any pics of you backing up the tortoise shell with the gold leaf?

Oh my! That is magnificent!

Beautiful piece Ken............something about a Congress knife and Tortoise Shell..its like PB&J a natural...........

That is stunning. Your fit and finish is nicer than any other examples of factory knives I have seen, which I imagine is extremely difficult. What a classy look.

Just beautiful!

Wow ... not a thing wrong with that slippie! I really enjoy seeing your work, it never disappoints. Thanks for showing them.

I'm not normally a congress kind of guy, but this one is just astonishingly beautiful!

Very balanced aesthetically Ken. Size, shield, tortoise, blade selection...everything works well together. Very, very, nice:thumbup::thumbup:

Looks great to me. All that in a slim frame sure does not look like it would be easy at all. Brad summed that knife up well.

That is spectacular.
My "dog" Timmy for some reason doesn't care for it though...

Man, that is a perfect combo of blades, pattern, steel and cover material!
