Congress ?

G'day I need some opinions!

I want a sheepsfoot blade I have several wharncliffe & like a straight edge.
I'm interested in a Queens congress. There's a couple I like the 2 blade with cocobolo & the classic stag bone that Bill has cumberland knife works. I was leaning towards 2 blades as I thought the 4 might be a bit bulky? Anyone seen a 2 blade with stag?

What's the fit & finish like. I have several D2 blades & find it's a great steel,what is the factory edge like, grinds even?

I would appreciate you opinions.

Hey Mitch.
I just really started getting into Congress patterns myself. I have a Schatt & Morgan made by Queen that is very similar to their 4 blade one. Mine is very good fit and finish and the stag Queen 4 blade one I have personally seen was also very good. I have not yet seen any of their 2 blade ones, but they seem to have consistant quality control. I don't think you can go wrong with a Queen and if you order from Bill at Cumberland, he will often hand pick one for you at request. Good luck with your search.
