The event will be held at the Guilford Art Center at 411 Church St. in Guilford CT. 06437 From 9-4 The school is located off of exit 58 on 95.
Cost for the hammer-in will be $25.- and will include a hot dog lunch.

Demos:

Knife handles and guards- Mace and Matt
Bronze casting with Barbara Wechter
Sword and knife cutting demonstration
...and a raffle!
(if you have something that you could donate to the raffle that would be awesome!!)
We will also set up a forge and some anvils for you to hit some hot steel!
All proceeds go to the forge shop!

Hope to see some of you there!:D:thumbup:

Arrg, just got back from a 15 hour roadtrip to Ct last weekend. I'll see if I can talk the wife into another one.

I will for sure be there, so you can bet there'll be a hammer in the raffle, also demonstrating the forging of a hammer if Mace can squeeze me in.

BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!

Hey all,
Just wanted to give this a bump in case you missed it.
Thanks for taking a look...hope to see some of you there.

Hey Everyone,
I bought one of Sam's hammers. IT IS GREAT!. I am already accustomed to the face-forward type (bought a great one from Raymond at Dancing Frog forge). The one from Dancing Frog I had built to 3.5 or 3.7 lb (a tad under 4). Sammy's is lighter but very easy to control. I have used it for bevelling and general forging. It is especially useful for me, after the rough forging is done, to go back through and forge the bevels down a little farther and clean up the marks from the larger hammer. A wonderful tool!

Maybe we can see how he makes them, and some lucky person can win one.

I will be there for sure. Maybe I can finish the knife I won last year at the raffle. Also I will not be assisting in the hammer making. Hand still hurts

Hell yeah Kevin! Looks great! Justin...ya bringin the car?
Mace

Heh, nah, It doesn't have a body or any fenders yet =D (missing a driveshaft too, but that's on order)

I will however be bringing two large anvils at absolute bargain prices =P 1$ a pound.

here's the car as it looks right now though. (more or less, some minor details have changed as i've added more things to it, like brake lines)
