Considering 635 Skirmish-other recomendations?

I'm looking for my first knife and saw the 635 mini Skirmish in the store the other day that seemed to appeal to me more than the others from their selection. I liked the size, width, & looks of it mostly.
Since this is my first time out looking at them, I was wondering what similar size/style & priced knives I should check out also. I'm going to go out to some other stores this weekend to look at other selections but may end up going back for the 635 depending on what I see out there. Comments & suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

You should also check out the new Spyker, the Spyderco Kershaw collaboration, if you can find one available. Me personally, I would much rather have a Spyker than a 635.

Kershaw Bump or Camillus Dominator-both S30V and framelocks like the 635.

The Dominator would have a more usefull blade shape for most tasks than the 635 or the Bump.

If you would like the best made knife in the world get the Benchmade 710hs or the 635.
