Hi Guys,
I'm thinking of getting an RC-6 and Izula with my tax return in a week or two. Will be using them mostly for camping and food prep. I have over 50 knives but nothing from RAT yet and thought I'd start here.
The RC Fire Kit caught my eye when it was first announced and so I thought I might get one of those also. Can you use the spine or thumb groves on the RC-6 and Izula to strike the Fire rod or should you use the edge?
Edited to add: Some friends and I are planning a 3 day camping trip here in Central Utah for the last weekend in April. We will be doing a lot of Dutch Oven cooking, some shooting (shooting range is 6 miles from the campsite) and practising some wilderness survival skills. Am thinking of making a brush shelter along with practicing my no match fire skills with the Rat Blades and Fire Kit.
Does that sound cool or what?
Thanks,
Heber
