Considering the following purchase:

Looking at a sweet little Boker 2005 Mother-of-Pearl with Damascus 3 1/8" blade. Any of you more sage and experienced members have any thoughts? The guy is asking $199.99 for it brand new.

Gave up on the idea of the Russell damascus since it's has the solid steel core.

My brother has a Boker Top-Lock with mother-of-pearl inlays. I've sharpened the knife once for him, and the inlays have not chipped or fallen out. I have never owned a Damascus blade.
