Another day without an ABLE. So I had to console myself with the Uncle MoFo from Wilco which came today instead. Life is hard.
 
Mike, you SUCK!!! I almost had that one, but ya beat me to it... :mad: :D :D Guess I'll have to console MYself with the SH BA he sold me!!! :D :D :cool:

Trust me Mark you'll get more use out of the SHBA. I have a Mr.Mofo LE, but just can't seem to put a scratch on the blade. However my fatty SHBA is my EDC and while it's at Leatherman's right now for a new pair of pants my EDC is my 1/4" SHBA. It's really hard NOT to use the BA's. They are just such a handy size. (I really like the old smooth contured grips too)

Both of you guys scored nice. You're just lucky the Desert trio wiped out my bank account or both of those suckers would be on extended vacation in S. Fl.:cool: :cool:

I hear ya Bill. Wish those DAB's would leave home! Mine will definately be a user. That's why I got it over the LE. Would have gotten both, but couldn't afford it and I need a user more than another safe queen. I guess there are people that use LE's, but I'm not one of them.

I've got a DAB coming as well :D :D :D... It'll probably replace my PD as my user... My SH BA is in too good of shape to use (though every one who's held it says it is definately an awesome knife) :cool: :cool: :D !!!

Alright! I finally suck. Number 28 arrived today. Good looking blade. Hope to have pics soon.:D :D

#28??? Yes, you really SUCK! Nice score! You better go beat on that B5 before you start looking at that LE too hard. My DAB arrived today! #1 (with the new secret invisable engraving) You'll just have to take my word for it.;) ;) :p

Mark... Use that sucker! Busse does do refurbs ya know. An awesome knife shouldn't be kept in the dark! Mine was pristine also. Didn't matter. Felt too nice not to carry. I love it over all my other Busse blades.

Ian, that is a standard snakeskin(?) micarta handle with a little mineral oil to bring out the colour. Same on the others.
BTW, that Outlaw is now in disguise: false edge, nekid blade, and thinned out a little from the mid line down... slightly deeper in the spine for a thumb rest when using the choil, ridges at the ramp, and a slightly sleeker butt for a reverse grip. :D
 
The only use of the Mofo so far is to fondle and heft it a little, and to make my daughter's eyes light up. It is still in the deluxe Busse cardboard sheath. It is beautiful, and will probably not be a user. My current Busse users of one CG NO (car knife), one ZT NO, one CG SH (truck knife), one ZT SH, one AD, one BA III, and likely a BAD fill all needs quite nicely. When I say "users", I am speaking mostly in the future tense, since I have very little opportunity now that I am Kim's full-time caregiver.

It looks like my knife collection is going to be just like my guns - acquire and never get rid of. Since my son, who is a great kid, is totally team sports oriented and finds hunting and fishing too sedentary, Kimberly is going to end up with quite a gun and knife inheritance. 30 guns, 17 Busses (current count) and drop dead georgeous as well. Quite a catch, but currently spoken for.
