Contacting a registered user

Not sure how to contact a registered user that wants to buy my knife.

• I can't PM or start a conversation with them.
• They can't PM me.
• No way to email them.
• That only leaves posting email on a public forum thread, which doesn't seem safe for either party.

Am I missing something?

There is the option of using profile messages, if the user has not restricted access...but those are still public.
I post my email in all my ads, broken up in sections: (redacted). I recently saw another member that posted an image of his email, so it did not appear as text. You can always delete the information,after contact has been made. Of course, if neither option appeals to you, you can put the onus on the buyer - make him provide means of contact.

It should be up to the buyer to supply contact info if they truly want the knife, if they want to stay as an unpaid member and still purchase knives then they need to accept the fact they'll have to supply their e-mail address publicly for at least a short time, otherwise they can pay the $0.88/month for a basic membership and PM options.

If they don't want to supply contact info then it's totally up to you whether you really want to sell the knife to them, the onus should be on them.
