Contacting Strider Knives?

Im deploying again in less than a month. On my first deployment we were issued Strider SMF's and those little guys changed my view on knives. Unfortunately, my SMF was stolen after I got back home. On this deployment, Ive only been issued a Gerber Multitool, but Id much rather have a Strider in my pocket again.

Ive been calling/emailing Strider ALOT for the last week and I havent been able to get in contact with anyone. I dont have enough money to buy a Strider at MSRP so Im trying to figure out if I could stop by their factory and buy one at a reduced cost (military discount or something like it).

Does anyone know of a number or email that will for sure get me in contact with them? If so, can you email it to me at soldiersblood @ msn.com? If not, does anyone know where I can get one either used or new at a reduced cost?

Not to be negative but everything Ive read on the forums is that Strider is

quite hard to contact by email or phone. Good luck.:)

My other suggestion is to attach a string / card to the knife thru the lanyard hole with your name, address, phone number and a brief description of what you wanted done to the knife.

I have seen quite a few posts on another forum where the Strider boys are trying to seek out owners of knives sent in for servicing.

That is epic. My nephew is in the army and not only is he issued no knife, but I believe he told me he is not allowed to have a knife or a side arm. I'm lucky they let him wear the g-shock I bought him.

I'm curious why the strider web site has been down for over two weeks now. Weird that any web page for a business would be down that long.

Maybe for the same reason they hardly ever pick up the phone or their answering machine is often full or it takes them forever, if ever, to reply to emails: they suck at organization, or don't care!
