Contego test video

not really surprised: i'm carrying my contego for a long time now and this knife is just impressive !

Not that there was ever any doubt but this test confirms or solidifies the Contego as my favorite still in production, production knife.

So many thing's to like about it including the price. Very affordable and worth every cent. I think I can say it out performs other knives I have or had costing twice as much. Or has so far. It continues to impress.

Benchmade has a real winner with the Contego!

I hadn't seen it before. Thanks for posting. I love my Contego and am impressed with the knife. This video is just icing on the cake.

I really enjoy those videos, I especially like that they tested the tip and stop pin this time. I think benchmade should do these tests to every model they produce. I find a certain cofident level when knowing what they can go through.

Very nice. I wish there are knife tests for all knives. I would love to know how my Southard, Sebenza, and Hinderer would hold up.

These tests has made me want to get more Benchmades.

I'm really enjoying these test vids BM is putting out. The Adamas test was very impressive. That's a strong lock. But I really like, also, how they tested the Contego in the open direction as well, and the stop pin was just a bit stronger than the axis lock itself. I'd love to see them test a titanium frame lock, and one of their fixed blades on that machine... (I know, a fixed blade is going to be VERY strong, but I still wonder... I mean, the Adamas did so well... I'm really curious if the machine could even break a fixed blade)...

I like these videos too. It's really nice to see knife companies doing computer controlled tests. Not just, "yeah it can cut 1" manila rope 1000 times before it's dull."

I recently purchased a Contego, and I am impressed. I read stories of how the handle was so agressive it would rip up your flesh. But I don't find that to be the case at all. I actually like the grip. And the blade has been great for me so far.

Thanks a lot everybody. All this made me have to order one. Like I really need another knife. And to top it off, while on Knifeworks site, I got to looking at the 710 in M4 and just had to have one of those too. Must....stop....buying....knives.

My Contego arrived yesterday, and I'm loving it. An acquaintance lent me one to try out last summer, and I knew then that I would eventually have to get one.

and one of their fixed blades on that machine... (I know, a fixed blade is going to be VERY strong, but I still wonder... I mean, the Adamas did so well... I'm really curious if the machine could even break a fixed blade)...

I've been thinking about one for a while, but every time I almost buy one, I end up going with a limited edition something else instead. I finally ordered one from KW today. Looking forward to it.
