Contest! Beat that HOG ASH1 & get free INFI!

I've decided to have a little contest. Since it seems that most everyone plans on beating their HOG edition ASH1s, it would be fun to see who can really "take it to the limit" and see what kind of abuse these knives can really handle.

So here's the deal: Whomever shows up at Blade '08 with the most jacked up, run-through-the ringer and still smilin' HOG edition ASH1 wins a minty fresh OD/ green linen meaner, provided by yours truly. It will come with a nice pouch style sheath. And by "shows up", I mean, posts the most convincing images here on the Busse forum. I know a lot of you won't be able to make it here in the flesh, let's keep it fair.

Images should be posted into this thread, with the winner being announced at the Busse dinner at Blade '08. (I'm assuming it will be at Fogos) I will try to convince one of the Busse crew to judge the contest, and will exempt myself from the competition. I will participate in the image posting, though, because I'm going to beat that HOG edition like a red-headed stepchild.

"What's in it for Moonwilson?" you may rightly ask. Why would any sane man willingly give away INFI? Well, Blade runs from May 30-June 1 2008. I can only hold this contest if the knives are delivered with enough time for them to be put to use beforehand. My motives are simple: this is a fairly transparent ploy to see if I can influence the INFI crew to deliver the HOG edition ASH1s as soon as possible. I'm not a big one for deferred gratification, and the longer I have to wait, the more INFI I'll buy in the interval. So hopefully this ploy will actually save me some money.

So, all of you HOGs, please remember this thread when those beautiful boxes arrive on your doorsteps. Resist the urge to baby your HOG edition ASH1s. Take them out and beat them hard! And score some free INFI for doing what you probably were going to do anyway! Thanks for playing! :thumbup:
 
Throw in a custom sheathe for their ASH and you may have even more participants! Thats very generous of you Moon!

I suppose I could throw a MWP high-speed tactical sheath into the pot as well. That should really get some fierce competition going! :thumbup::cool::barf::foot::barf::barf::thumbup:

I have some time to put some serious thought into the development of the sheath, so I'll make it a doozy. Good idea, Sirahren!
 
Aha ha ha ha ha, like we will have the HOGs knives by Blade '08 let alone time to beat them! :p

You da HOG, MoonPorker!!!!. . . .I am in!!!. . . I'm not saying that I have an advantage, but if I'm the ONLY one to have the HOG ASH by Blade '08 what chance do the rest of you have???? :eek:

I call shenanigans! You have to make it fair Jerry. I think that you ought to have all of the HOG ASH1's ready and shipped before Christmas to those hogs who have their orders in already. :) (Mind you I don't have my order in yet, I am still trying to decide on combos for the CG. :))

Hoorah! Tapped as a HOG by the big guy himself! :thumbup: That just made my day.

Hmm. This was a strategy I had not forseen.:eek: Jerry is called "Boss Hog" for a reason! That is some pretty unbeatable pork-fu right there. Perhaps I should ask someone outside of the supply chain to be the choose the winner? :foot:

Anyone have any ideas as whom would be the most appropriate judge of this little contest? Any volunteers? However, the rules have been set. If Jerry is the only one who manages to post images of his beaten-up HOGASH1 before Blade, he has this thing sewn up. The meaner will go back to Waseon, from whence it came. With a highly desirable, custom, killer MWP sheath to boot! :thumbup:
 
I will have to start doing some porch robbing, and hopefully time it so that it is the hog edition bearing package, then hope that no one notices that I am not them on the video.

Two weeks is probably a pretty accurate ETA. Two weeks of Sundays. Which would mean mid-March. Which would be plenty of time for some serious beatdowns on some ASH1s in time for the contest.

Though I'm praying for a "Christmas Miracle", with a HOGASH1 under my tree, with a pretty camoflage bow on it. :thumbup: A Hog can dream, can't he?

Since it's your idea, I think you should be the judge. You have a good eye for aesthetics....we trust you. We'll just sit tight for two weeks and it will time to wreak INFI havoc!!
