Many thanks to Esav. The contest micro-Cdn arrived today. Worst part of it was that my wife told me on the phone that the package arrived while I was at work. Then I had a dinner date with my mother which kept me from home for 3 more hourse after work.
Finally arrived and opened up the package. Not only did it contain a beautiful genuine stag + mosaic pin micro Canadian knife with leather sheath, it also contained a Gerber River shorty knife. Man, I used to have one of those river shorty's a while back and lost it in the drink. This one is going to find a perfect little spot on my PFD!
Here is the Shorty and Cdn along with the RC-6 for scale.
The stag is just gorgeous.
It provides a great 3 finger grip, and it is a real fatty!
Next to my JK-kit knife
What a perfect little EDC blade and the first time I've handled a Barkie. Thus far, I'm nothing short of impressed! Unfortunately, my wife managed to take a peek at the micro. Her words were 'that handle reminds me of my grandpa's knife'. Then she plucked it out of my hand and said 'this feels really good. Thanks for winning me a new knife'
I guess in the end, I should have forgone the fish and went for the wife
Esav, she has exacted her revenge!
Thank you very much for holding the contest Esav. The contest was a lot of fun to take part in and Becky assures me that your knife will forever be on her person.
Oh and those Barkies....I'm starting to appreciate how nice and sharp they get!
