First of all, Thanks for the knife, Steve:):D! and a big thank you goes out to Yvsa for sifting through the BS to judge Steve's little contest. I'm sure no one was anticipating depressed fuzzy puppies and kittens, but hey..that's what you got from me:)

As per the rules, here is a couple of (very, very poor) photos of the Okapi and its packaging.

Notice the packing job. It looks like Yangdu's shipping boxes had some widdle babies:) Very creative, Steve!

Ya know, i was pleasantly surprised with the Okapi. I thought it was going to be second rate. However, besides a little blade play the knife is pretty nice. It's not going to be a family heirloom or anything, but it's a nice sided carbon steel blade with a good luck up and a lot of knife for your money...especially if you didn't have pay for it:)

Once again, I would like to thank Steve Poll for this very fun contest. I would like to thank Yvsa for judging it. I would like to thank all the beautiful people of the Cantina for suffering through my BS. And of course, I want to thank all the little cute animals of the world

Congrats, Astro!

Thanks

Hi Steely:

I'm delighted the knife reached you safe and sound. I packaged the heck out of it to be protected. It sure was a fun contest!

I wonder how long the other one will take to get to Astro in Hong Kong?

Thanks, Steve:)

Sorry, didn't even see the addresses in the pic. Didn't even think about it:foot: Too lazy to try and mark them out, so i just took the pic off;)

I also wonder how long it's going to take Astro's knife to get to him. It took about a week to get to me with the federal holiday, and that's only from FL to IN;)
Thanks again. The Okapi is getting a razor edge put on it tomorrow at work, and maybe a leather sheath slapped together or something. Dunno, but it's too nice of a work knife to leave at home. I'll give my SAK a rest, and take the Okapi instead.

Congratulations Jake....

No one came close to your level of preposterous bu.. er...imagination and creativity.

Good to know no kittens or puppies were killed in this competition.

see, that's the common mis-perception... look at what happened the minute he got that knife:

Finally, a small dog with some usability.
At least it can trim the hedges it pees on.

You owe me a new keyboard! This one now has coffe all over it:) Thanks for the A.M. laugh out loud. To be honest, i can't stand little dogs. IMHO, they aren't good for anything a dog is supposed to be good for. Basically, they are a cat that barks and won't poop in a box. The only use I can see for a toy dog is a self shagging football (unless you kick it too hard), and as Bladite has shown, a perfect place to store my knife. To sum up, dog over 10lbs GOOD. Cat of any size, GOOD.
However, since I have taken the puppicratic oath, I cannot turn the little buggers away...so keep the donations comin' With your financial help I will get my Jag...er save da puppies, etc.:D
