CONTESTS DELAYED!!! Good News and Bad News.

Just got off the phone with Moose. It seems that the Ka-Bar shipment did not come in today like he'd hoped. In fact they're not going to ship till Friday, and Moose will be an instructor at the ESEE Woodland Course the entire next week.

This means our contests will have to be delayed by a couple of weeks. That's the bad news.

The good news is that you'll get to watch national championship basketball without any worry of the knife you're missing out on. :D

Actually, we're hopeful that Ka-Bar may be sending even more prizes than previously thought. That's good news too, right? Ideally, more contests and more wealth to go around.

If you have any issues to take up with middle management, please direct all emails, hate letters, and/or Molotov cocktails to Bladite, who tricked me today into thinking he was quitting as moderator.

Later, I may sticky this one so folks won't miss the announcement.

That bastard did that to me also, but he said that you guys kicked him out. He also said a bunch of other bad words about you all that can't be repeated on this open forum.

I'm actually kinda happy the contests are being delayed a bit. I have a bunch of stuff going on round here right now, and this will give me time to get things done so I can partake in the fun and games.

Well I don't really care about baseball, but MOAR PRIZES seems to be appealing to me. Plus this will give me some time to get used to my BK9 which will hopefully arrive tomorrow.

Thanks for the contests and stuff, it's so generous and nice of you all to do this.

I prefer to say that Bladite has ... an "Irish" way with facts.
 
Guys, its my fault and I apologize. I was so excited about the up and coming feeding frenzy, I didn't give Kabar the time they needed. That is my fault. And, I will make it up to ya'll.

I've been as busy as a one legged man in a soccer game, and just haven't been able to catch up. I apologize for that. After a few weeks, life should get back to normal, Beckers, hikes, and good times.

In two weeks, we will have our Kabar Extravaganza, me promises. Until then, focus all your rage and frustration on me, I can take it. :D

Don't give it a second thought.

Most of us are so self-involved anyway, that we probably haven't even noticed.;)

And those of us who have noticed are probably working on 'good citizen' merit badges ... and will be inclined to forgive you without your even asking.;)

Or something like that. There was more, but I'm too self-involved to type it here.
 
If OP weren't too busy shoring up the free world, I'd say he needs to be a SuperMod here.
 
Great news...I just got some spanish olives tonight so i'm gonna be busy anyway. My wife and I went on a date tonight so I was glad to find out that it hadn't started and that I was behind.:thumbup:
 
I'm with Shadow on this one, so close, must get BH#. I am really in awe of the fun contests and prizes and fun in the forum.

it was April 1st, and they had it coming ;) trying to steal my knives, base accusations, and other conduct not befitting gentleman ;) yeah.

so, for the week of non contest threads, i could ask Spark to lock the forum so that we might meditate on existing posts, and better prepare for the onslaught of contests. you guys have NO idea what those two and i are going to ask of you ;) hey, free knives, right?

better system: KaBar doesn't send them ALL to moose, but awaits our instructions for addresses, and sends them out direct? i dunno. just a thought, could speed things along.
 
As the Beckerhead with the lowest number possible to those not in the inner sanctum, I herby assume command of this forum as Moose has clearly blown it, Bladite has lost it, and Guyon has devolved into a biscuit. You can leave the keys at the door. Thank you gentlemen for your service. I'll take it from here.

Moose, I'm going to need you to forward that KA-BAR shipment to me as soon as it arrives.

But seriously, don't apologize. All of us have our busy days, mine just seem to come in the most inconvenient of times. :barf:

How did you know that we were plottin on you?? I'm not gonna say anything bad about you ever again.




Moose, no worries about it. We all get lost in life sometimes, and forget dates and whatnots. I've been doing that a lot lately because of all the crap I've got going on here at my home front. I'm sure that everyone is still grateful to have the opportunity to partake in these upcoming contests.
