Thanks for sharing the pictures with us. It's nice to see knives actually being used. And that is one Taisty looking steak!

By the way, isn't that my old Field knife that used to be your old field knife? LOL!!

Hey pig hunter, how do you like the Field knife ? I bought the Field Pup thinking its a smaller, less expensive relative. Its a good knife but I dont like the handle. I've been thinking of cutting it off and having something else put on. The handle on the Field knife looks more my style. So what do you think of your Field knife?

I've had the x-42 for years and it really is a nice knife. I only with the choil wasn't so big.
Sheath is so-so.
Even better knife if they had changed the choil

I like the knife .... works well for me, takes and holds a great razory edge. I'm definitely a fixed-blade kinda guy and prefer something with a 7" blade. The Field Knife blade is of course shorter than that, and I bought it mostly to add an exotic metal knife to my collection. BG-42 is "rock hard" and a pal of mine has to sharpen it for me to hair-poppin' sharp, I've always been sharpening challenged on the exotics.

Overall, it's definitely a keeper !! Feels great in the hand, really did a job on that steak. And with the shorter blade, it's a bit more maneuverable for cutting tasks.

Cheers,

Carl
