Hi there fellow Buck fanatics. I've ben lurking on the site for a while but finally have something to post about. I luv Buck knives, the history, the quality, the quality to name a few.
Alright here we go: I just purchased a Vantage Avid large (from Amazon)
and it shows signs of the blade alignment issues (When closed the blade almost rubs the liner). I tightened the torx screw some and it seemed to help but the action is tight and after a few flicks the blade seems to shimmy back to the liner. After going through the archives I thought the issue had ben resolved so I had purchased with confidence, but much to my shagrin it seems to have the "issue". I was thinking that Amazon may have had old stock on hand but the mnfg date of (2/2/11) says otherwise. So, should I send it out to Buck for warranty work or exchange it with Amazon? Also, the action seemed a little tight before the tightening of the torx screw, I EDC a folding Alpha Hunter and it is butter smooth and was anticipating that kind of action with the Vantage, is this normal? Thanks in advance fellas
