What's up guys I'm confused I live in California and the knife laws in every County / cities are different damn near I was wondering if any of you guys know what the knife law is in Contra Costa County? supposably there's no blade length in this county but that's what I've only just heard..?? Anybody??

According to Post #11 in this old BF thread, Contra Costa County does not have any knife ordinances of its own. IF this is true (and I am NOT saying that it is), then only State law applies.

If so, there is no legal length to worry about except 2" for an auto. However, under State law, you cannot legally carry any "dirk, dagger, etc" concealed regardless of length. But, just like a gun, if you carry one "illegally" no one will know it unless/until you intentionally (or "accidentally") reveal it.

If you do carry a knife illegally, which I certainly do NOT recommend, please only do it w/a full understanding of the legal risks. You can easily Google the full text of CA's knife laws if you haven't done so already.

BTW, I also live in CoCo County.
