The Peppermill just couldn't seem to get it together -- long story of incompetence which nobody wants to hear but it makes me wonder how they made the Best 10 US Casinos list. So, not one to tolerate botched calls, out to lunches, at meetings, etc. for an unreasonable length of time, I called the Atlantis and booked our meeting room there. We have the TRADEWINDS III meeting room on the second floor mezzanine. There will be signs saying "Himalayan Imports" in Tradewinds III with arrows. Ask anybody at the Atlantis where the Tradewinds III meeting room is located and they'll direct you there. We have it sheduled for 9 to 5 on both Sat. and Sun. There's a snack bar very close so coffee, drinks, snacks will be easy. And there's also about 7 restaurants at the Atlantis just in case you get really hungry.

Those who attended the last Reno Convention will have no trouble. It's right next to our old meeting room, Tradewinds II.

For those staying at the Peppermill the Atlantis is located 3 blocks south -- about a ten minute walk and hardly worth a taxi ($2). Those arriving early who want to come over to Titanic II for a Heineken, glass of wine, (I don't keep hard stuff --too dangerous), and a bowl of rice and some BS send me an email or call for directions when you get here. I'm a block south of the Peppermill but on the street which borders the back of the mill -- Lynberry St.

It's all set. Hop on the plane and have a safe journey.

Awesome! This is going to be a blast. Uncle Bill, you can't imagine how much I have been looking forward to this. It will be great to meet everyone in person instead of just online.

The guys don't always look like you imagine them but they come across in person pretty much the way they come across here. Good guys will abound. It'll be a hell of a get together.

Wish I could make it. It would be nice to meet some of the Cantina "characters" in person.

You guys have fun! :D

They are generally very informal. I think we'll have Lama Jigme give the benediction Sat. AM. After that introductions so everybody will know everybody. Sat afternoon around 2PM I think Duvon will give a MA demo with khukuris. Sunday probably a big BS session or anything anybody wants to do.

Around 9 to 5 both days although we can keep the room until 9PM if we take a notion.

..why, they did it by paying money to the folks who make the list!

Sorry I can't make it, I just have no monney. Time, but no money.

Someone please shoot some stills or vid of Duvon, I wish I could see that stuff in motion! Please ask him a bit about reverse grips, and other ways of holding the khuk.

You folks have fun, now.

Keith

Heber is supposed to bring a video cam and do the shooting. And, I'll have my new DC and plan on putting it to good use.

Keith, as Uncle Bill said, I'll be bringing a Video camera. And my 35MM still camera with plenty of film.:)

Got my contract from the Atlantis and it said Tradewinds II so stay tuned. As mentioned in another thread Tradewinds I, II and III are side by side and they will have a prominent sign outside the right one saying, "Himalayan Imports," so I don't think anybody will have any trouble. Ask any Casino employee directions to Tradewinds meeting rooms and watch for the sign or a guy with a red, white and blue eye.
