Convention Question

I do not mean to be rude, but I was sitting here surfing knife sites and came across the Spyderco site.

Who was the guy that had all the Spyderco Knives at the convention?:confused:

I am interested in getting one as a carry knife, just to get something "different". ;) Too bad I cannot carry my GRS strapped to my book bag! Campus Police would mess themselves! :D

Wait a minute... That JKM I got is of legal length here...I think I will go devise a new sheath for it...horizontal belt carry...yes :eek: :cool:

Anyway, it would be nice to put a name with a face, I am bad about that sorta thing. :o
Also, where does one go to get a good deal? There are not many people around who do the spectacular business Uncle Bill does!
 
....can be a sore subject. There was a long thread in the legal forum about a member who was "turned in" for carrying an illegal knife on one of the Kali campus. The knife was legal, and under both Kali law and campus policy, there was no infraction. The campus cop filed charges anyway, and the member lost his dorm space, was automatically suspended (because of the technical "arrest"), and was then cleared in court. He lost a semester. Last count, his lawyer was drawing up a huge civil suit against the school, the campus police (insufficient supervision and training) and had found out who filed the accusation just to have another name to throw in the stew. Point is, check out your school, and then go very quietly. I carry a Spyderco Wegner when a folder is all I can carry. Otherwise, it is my 14" J & P Sirupati. Why carry a fingernail cleaner when you can carry a finger trimmer. :rolleyes:
 
I don't know now....maybe I should get another kuk...hmmm.
My HIKV has gone into the dormant stage after the convention and now I am thinking elsewhere.

That scares me! ;)
 
I think it was Hawk but can't swear to it. Too many people to talk with, too much stuff to look at.
 
And Gregg, Tulsmal also had sopme Spydey's.:)
I sharpened Gregg's original Moran Spydey with the convex edge. I love VG10!!!!
 
I will pay my bills, and Uncle Bill, and then get a certain unique spidey.

That Ayoob, or maybe the Eduard Bradichansky Shabaria...that wierd one that I think YVSA sharpened. I have time to think this one over...maybe I will break down and buy a UBDOTD and ruin my plan...but oh well i still get a new knife!

Let's see what happens! :)

As for Tsimi...what is he talking about? A Gunting? What is that? Is there something out there I have not heard of, or is this one of the "Dung Beatle's" wee lil' balls of fun? :confused:
 
Guntling...found it...wow...I like!!! Tsimi actully taught me something...I guess HIKV can teach you something after all, huh Tsimi?:p ;)
