Moose just sent me a pair of these to try out. Just sent him a PM asking for some info and he... aw who am I kidding. I'm too late for April Fools Day dammit. Anyway, was going to put this up to see if I got any bites but I'm too late. Anyway, here it is.

Didn't get on here in time cos I had to go to stoopid work like a stoopid chump. I did wear them to work like this however.

I've always wondered about using paracord for boot laces...

Pretty sure the 'laces' I used were supposed to be for tying the bottom of the ZK sheaths to your leg but they had aglets on them so I thought they'd make pretty nifty laces. That, the Zombie patches on the tongues and the cobra stitching in the um.. flap thingys make my connies look pretty cool I think..

That does look pretty cool, but paracord doesn't work really good as shoelace IMHO.
Still, a fun idea

I cobra stitched the excess bits to the loop things on the side then tied a knot to stop it undoing. I never do my laces up as I like to slip my shoes on and off. It's all pretty secure and doesn't undo but I do see what you guys are getting at. Thanks for the comments though.

never had problems with paracord laces. i use it in my chucks and my boots. melted the ends to keep 'em from unravelling, and shaped them to fit through the eyelets.

This is true and it's not true.

A lot of Brands of so called "Para Cord" are not equal to the good stuff. Most of the stuff you find on the market is made out of very slippery material. Not good at all for knots that need to stay.

However, If you get your hands on the real Mil Spec stuff, it works great.

I have had Para Cord in my boots since 2009. The same set of para cord laces in fact. They have held up great and it's nice to know you always have extra cordage with you.

Just FYI, I have ordered para cord from at least 7 different sources and there is only one that 1 that I trust. The others that were supposed to be the real deal were crap in my opinion.

Anyway....... Cool Sneakers. :D

Thanks Dex. Yeah I don't know whether that green stuff is true paracord, I only put them in because they had aglets on the end. And for what its worth, they way cooler than the crappy laces I had before.

And I do agree with what you said about how many types there are. Some seems to knot really easily but others, no matter how tight you knot them, they're undone in minutes. I spose that's what you get when every uncle and his dog jumps on the "let's make paracord in a ridiculous amount of colors" band wagon.
