i want to get a commander, left handed, but do not want to spend $219 for a lefty when i can get a right hand model for $139(seems unfair to us lefties- discrimination???). anyhow, how hard would it be to convert a right handed model to a left handed model(reversing the right handed pocket clip to the other side? are the holes already drilled/tapped as in the PSARK's? has anyone tried this? any info would be greatly apprieciated:)

does anyone know if the liner is already drilled and tapped? i have heard some of the knives are on both sides, anyone know about the mini commander? if so, it looks like all i would have to do is drill through the handle and install the clip from the other side. any ideas? anyone had one apart to verify that both sides are already drilled/tapped?
thanks:)

Hey guys,

The P-SARKs that had the tapped liners was a fluke. We had done the liners for a special order and someone was not paying attention when they grabbed them to make some for regular stock.

I look at it as an unintentional bonus.

It is a huge PITA to do this yourself and if something gets mucked up by tinkering with the opposite tap, it will cost you $40 to send it in for a new liner and handle.

On the plus side, you won't void the warrantee by taking the knife apart to perform the job :)
