Hi,
I have had a CS x-large voyager for a year+ now and am very happy with it. However i have started to carry it cliped to my waistband which means it very difficult to open 1 handed as once i have pulled it out (with 1 finger and thumb) i have to push it against my body to get my whole hand in the correct position to open it and i have dropped it on numerous occasions doing this.

1) Is there anyway i can change the clip round so i can carry it tip down?

2) Is there any better way of drawing it 1 handed?

3) Is there any knife of simular size, price and quality as my faithful voyager which is tip up down?

Thanks,
MAT

I never thought about changing a my Cold Steel XL Voyager over to tip down. I have knives that are tip down and I perfer tip up because I don't have to change my grip to open the knife.

I am a little confussed as to why changing it to the opposite end of the knife would help, what about if you changed the pocket clip to the opposite side??

I've carried my Voyager in the waste band before (not much, but I have) and I never head a problem opening the knife, although I don't use the the thumb stud anyways:)

Hopefully someone out there can help you out. If you can't switch it and you need a tip down and you like BIG save up and get the Camillus Maxx it's just as big and has great materials plus it's tip down

good luck

Ah, i must appologise i see were i have confused everyone now. I carry my voyager cliped to the INSIDE of my waist band, so only the top inch or so is showing. This why it is so hard to draw quickly and reliably,
Can any one answer any of my previous questions now?

Thanks,
MAT
