converting a Case to an automatic knife?

I would like to know if anyone has converted a case knife into an auto. I have a Case cheetah woth swing guards I would like to make an auto, Can this be done? I would like the sheild to be the button that pops the blade out. Any suggestions? Thanks John

Sounds like a challenging project, not unlike turning your Honda Civic into a submarine.
Nice thing about this sort of project, if you pull it off, you've got something that will get noticed.

It is a long shot, but Case has made some automatics over the years, You might contact Case and ask if they might have any auto mechanism that might interchange with the cheetah parts to make an auto.
Who knows? Maybe.
