Converting a Sheath to Belt Carry

I have this Polkowski Neck Knife that's pretty incredible, but I might like to adapt it to belt carry. Might the best way to proceed be to get a Tek-Lok belt clip from Blade Tech and install it onto the existing kydex sheath or might there be a better suggestion. I still know close to nothing. Thanks.

Use two loops of leather roughly 1/2 inch wide and long enough to go completely around the kydex sheath (with a little slack), and two rivets.

Rivet one loop to the hole near the opening of the sheath, and the other at either the bottom or middle hole. Leave some slack in the loops. Thread your belt through the loops and you have a horizontal carry that works left-handed and right-handed.
