I just wanted to take a minute to thank Andy from Fiddleback for making me a convex convert. First off, the Bushcraft Knife he made for me is already my favorite knife (and I own many, many knives). Second, although reluctant to buy a convex edged knife for years, I did it anyway on a whim since I love Andy's handle work on his knives. Let me tell you what.....I have been learning to sharpen flat ground knives for over two years now on nothing but stones. While I have gotten proficient at it, I can't help but notice how much easier it is to sharpen convex with some wet/dry sandpaper. By far, the sharpest I have ever gotten a knife. Thanks Andy, because of you, I am a convex convert. It's only taken a few years.......

P.S. Love that Bushie in Burlap w/the spalted 01........beautiful. Works wood like a termite too!!

Man, thats great to hear. Thanks for your support. Hopefully this isn't your last Fiddleback.

It's an awakening for me personaly. I can't believe how nicely the convex edge works wood and how easy it is to sharpen. Not to mention, Andy's knife work is way beyond my expectations. It's hard to use the knife at all. I want to hang it on the wall above my wedding picture!

The truth of the matter is that a properly ground convex grind is night and day better than the other -inferior- grinds. No contest.
