Convex The King?

Anybody convexed a BK9? Thinking about doing it this afternoon, (stripped it and added micarta last night, looks great!)

I convexed mine on a HF 1x30 belt sander. I have not had a chance to use it after the mod. However, I will report that it is very sharp!

I convexed mine and performance wise I don't see a difference but it certainly holds a better edge. I would suggest convexing it.

Absolutely sir. Some people like the bite of the V grind (and it does) but I prefer a convex on the King. Kind of a like a small axe.

Here's one with a full height convex and it is a true and worthy beast.
