Will the Swamp convex an edge upon request? I'm thinking of getting another Ratmandu but want a convexed edge. Anyone?:D

Not sure, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to learn how to do it yourself. Problem solved.

I got a reply. And apparently all Swamp Rat knives currently being offered have convexed edges.

That is likely true because they're all sharpened on a slack belt sander. You might want to add that you are looking for a thinner (more acute) edge grind than what is typical from the shop.

Yeah. Many, if not all, of the Busse & kin knive I have seen in the past year and a half have all come with convex edges. They all have a slight "appleseed" shape, like on the Boss Jack for instance, but it is subtle. Like SpyderPhreak said, it is from sharpening on a slack belt.

I think what you are looking for is a zero edge, like on the Basic line, for example. I am pretty sure the Swamp Rat Custom shop would put a zero edge on a knife for you, but they may charge extra for the work.
