Heya Peoples,

Hehe..I was cleaning my favorite chef's knife, and while drying my hand slip. I had seen it's cut on the chicken breasts I was cutting into strips--very clean, very efficient, and required no pressure. My hand had barely grazed the edge and it cut deep..and split it open. No matter what I tried, it wouldn't close (well, save for butterfly strips, stitches, or glue..hehe). Scared my wife half to death--she ran and grabbed alchohol wipes and proceeded to clean my bloody hand. Alchohol wipes.. Sufficed to say, that sucker is sharp! The convex aspect delivers a cleaner cut, and as such..harder to get or keep closed. Becareful out there, Knife-Peoples, let's all avoid losing a digit or two!

Ouch! Alcohol on an open cut! Was she just trying to torture you?

But I hear you about slicing and dicing in the kitchen. Personally, I'm glad I didn't learn to become a professional chef. I'm so clumsy they'd be calling me "Stumpy" by now...

Yep, I cut my finger pretty deep with my Spyderco mini Persian this weekend... Bled like a mother for quite some time -- not a fun one.

Oh, she pushed the wipe down into the cut lol.. I told her thank you and told her she helped alot, which she did. Actually, aside from burning, alchohol promotes bleeding. Which is why when/if a person has consumed a sufficient amount of alchohol, or in my case as alcohol into/onto the cut, rate of bleeding will increase. Had to change the dressings several times. I could've glued it shut, even stitchedit, but I decided to just coat and cover. :-)
