Convexing rats

I've already convexed some knives including my izula but after reading that sandpaper thread and saw rotte's izula and comparing it to mine and his hassn't got to much coating lost and mine did so at what angle do you hold your knife??

i had the same issue, and couldn't get it sharp enough. you almost have to lay it flat on the sand paper with a slight angle. check out the videos from knivesshipfree.com

I havent got a problem with sharpness, it just floats of hairs of my arm, it's just that i've lost a lot of coating compared to rotte's izula in that sharpening with sandpaper thread
