I've been [strikethrough]tormenting[/strikethrough] breaking in my 14 for a while, and can't help but thinking convexing it out would be a useful mod. Has anyone tried this? The stock edge seems a touch thick, but I think it should work well enough.

My 14 is convex. And it's a great improvement over the factory edge. Just takes some time and a few sheets of sandpaper.

Handle covers, too? Keep meaning to whip something up but running out of inclination when I have the time, and time when I have the inclination. Being an intern at a hospital is rough!

Those are the zytel scales that Ka-Bar is now making. They come with a set of black and a set of orange.

I put a convex on my 14 and I couldn't be happier with how it performs. I use it for hiking and camping and a convex really helps the knife glide through wood like butter.

i convexed my bk2 so a super lean convex. the thing bites super deep into wood like butter, its performance is through the roof compared to the stock one. .im getting a 14 soon and its getting an even leaner convex. go for it dude
