So, here's my quandry... I've got two Scrapyard SS4's in INFI already, but I'm really drawn to the Muddy Meaner that's coming up "soon". I'm not a collector, so I only want to pick up knives I think I'm going to use. I like the 4" blade length for a camping knife, but (although I've got a low grade lust for them), I don't know that I can rationalize buying a Meaner.
They're the same steel, very similar blade, with the biggest tangible difference I can see being the handle. I've heard a lot of people say that the Res-C is one of the best handle materials out there, so I don't know if I would get a big practical upgrade by going with the MM.
Can anyone who's used micarta vs Res-C versions of the same (or really similar) knives chip in and let me know if I'm missing something here?
Thanks!
