I broke out my Esee 4 a couple days ago and whipped up some chicken and sausage gumbo for the famila. All done with the Esee 4
They love it when dad cooks :)
1/2 Diced Onion

Four Diced Jalapeno's

Cut up Cilantro:

Four links of Opa's Jalapeno Sausage (sliced)

Four diced grilled chicken breasts

Saute Veggies in olive oil (except cilantro), steam four cups of brown rice, dump rice in with veggies, add two tsp of cayenne pepper, two tsp of black pepper, pour in small can of chicken broth and sausage and chicken and cilantro and simmer for a few mins.
Eat, get fat and wait for the impending heart attack :)

That looks delicious, i might try that tonight actually, but white rice will have to do.

However that is not gumbo, which is basically a cajun stew thickened with okra or roux and usually has some kind of seafood in it usually served over rice. This looks more like jambalaya minus the seafood.

Either way, looks good thanks for sharing

Ha ha... it looks great until the last pic. It´s to grey! You should put som Saffron in it to get nice & tasty coloration.

I have to agree that doesn't look like gumbo but it looks like some good eats. I want some jalapeno sausage now, those look so good.

Gumbo is soo much easier to say :) My kids don't have any cajun in them so to them its just gumbo :) I personally prefer it with shrimp and chicken but no one in my house likes shrimp but me; dang communist!
