cooking kydex, my first try

This is my first try at cooking up some kydex. Let's just say the custom guys have nothing to worry about in the form of competition from me!

However crude, I did manage to make a fuctional piggyback sheath for a mini bushman and SAK. I used stainless machine screws and a foldover as you can see in the photos. I haven't decided what kind of belt loop or whatever yet.

The little bushman is really locked in there, which is what I wanted. the factory sheath is very loose. I dropped that poor thing twice, once onto my garage floor from about 4 feet. Took a little time with the stone to get it back in shape.
 
My first attempts were probably not that good,, practice, practice. practice,
then buy the expensive tools!

I like it. I think it has character and is certainly awesome for your first try. Looks very functional too. Good job.

I should ad that its not really done. Need to smooth up the final edges and make an attachment. I'm curious if I will like the piggy back thing or a pouch better.
