Decide to cook a rack of pork and some baby backs on the big green egg today. What's everyone up to today? Hope all is well with everybody!

A buddy of mine has a BGEgg. Absolutely insane how much heat those things can generate. And sustain a constant temp. Pizza, Steaks, burgers...quick as can be. If I could ever afford one, I'd be all over it!

Ha! I love how we say we can't afford stuff yet we own piles and piles of amazing knives!
However it was a great investment. It truly is amazing on the things it can do and how much different the food quality tastes.

Rubbed down some country style pork ribs that are trimmed of most of the fat to put on the Vision Smoker. After an hour on the smoker, I added a bag of great northern beans to the Dutch oven with water, onion, blk pepper, garlic, seasoned salt, chipotle peppers, more rub, and some wet Mexican sauce. Then add the c/s pork ribs to the D/O with the lid off for an hour. Then put the lid o the D/O for 6 hours. The meat falls apart, the smoke flavor infuses the meat and beans, C/pepper kicks the heat up. Make a pan of corn bread, along with an onion and tomato vinegar salad. Fine dining right there.

Hahahahhaha. You're right, but I like to look at things as far as ability to liquidate them/resale value/ease of resale.
Busse = greatest of ease, everything else scares me! And besides, if I bought a BGE, that's less money for Busse....

Asked my wife if I could use her badger to cut it up and she said as long as I clean it right. Ha! Gotta love that.

Quite satisfied with my BGE. My favorite thing is to cook steak for 6 mins @ 650 degrees. Come over. I'll supply the moonshine. We won't run out of deer sausage.

You're not kidding. I cooked some 2 inch thick porterhouses last night and that's exactly how I do mine. Steaks and white lightning sure do sound great but the way I can drink you just may run out. Not sure why but for some reason alcohol never did affect me the way it does others.

Everybody's different I guess. My father recently broke 17 bones in an accident including 12 vertebrae and weaned himself off pain meds in 4 days, but you can make him pass out by feeding him a Jalapeno. I have stayed on my feet through staph infections and stomach viruses but can't eat one bite of crab or lobster or get a bee sting without intervention.

I just saw this thread and mmmmm. . . . . . They look so good! I just ate lunch and these pics made me hungry again!

Man. You can cook bro. Looks better than my "flank steak on a pink Hercules plate" I posted in the SWATmandu picture thread.

I wish I had more time for this kind of thing.

Ha! Thanks Nuthin wrong with a Disney plate man. I've eaten off my share. :)
