Cool article on AOM

Great ideas! Thanks for posting.

Except... there aren't any women young enough to still need them in my circle, and I'll be damned if I'm going to stand in the supermarket line with a box in my hand! :D

Ehh, I have found that its not that big of a deal...its not like they are for me...When my baby was still in diapers I had to go to Walgreens and buy tampons, diapers and bandaids...if you were bleeding or crapped your pants, I had you covered...

I got a house full of 'em and I still don't like to buy them, I will but I don't like to. Mainly cause I always get the wrong "flavor", and I'll hear about it when I get home.

"I have a tampon in my mouth!" - I was cracking up when I read that this morning. Something about that just doesn't sound right...

I went and saw they had a nifty article on choosing a "survival" knife. Of the options shown, the BK2 was of course my fave, although as with anything there are some different approaches to what they are preaching. Good article nonetheless.

I never had any issues buying tampons. Obviously it isn't for me, so what does it matter. However when I was taking care of my granddad before he died he was in depends. THAT gets you some strange looks. Especially when you walk to the register with a box of depends, a cucumber, a 30 pk of beer, and duct tape (This was one of my funnest shopping experiences actually).

I read that article too. Interesting that two of his uses listed as tasks your survival knife needs to be able to handle are 'digging' and 'pry tool' but his knife of choice is a Blackbird SK-5, if you want to use your knife for those applications I think I'd rather have the BK-2 by a long shot.

i rather like the inolved "OB Apology" :> might come up with "tampon apology". who needs survival?
