Cool find at Academy! Kershaw Tone!

I had never heard of it before, and i thought it lokked cool so i picked it up. It's a completely blacked out knife w/ 8Cr13MoV steel. It's not the greatest steel but it;s the same as the tenacious which i have been satisfied with. Although, i was disappointed when i saw CHINA printed across the flipper.
 
You'll need to host the pics at a photo hosting site like photobucket or flickr, then use the image code to embed them here. I'm interested, never heard of this knife before.

I googled it too, and couldn't find anything. Might be an Academy special ala the Barrage/Walmart agreement.

OP, do a review and let me know how she is, I may pick one up myself

The Tone is an exclusive for Academy. G-10/AO/8CR. Guess that about covers it.

The Barrage (or Salvo as it's now known--Benchmade owns the rights to the Barrage model name) may have been designed for the big-box store market, but the shop I work at had them last year, and we're a small business. :)

Bam! Called it. Nice work Kershaw, especially at the price I saw. Though I must say the misses isn't too happy about the new crop of nice knives I can pick up for the cost of a few lunches out ($20-30). My drawer is getting full :D

I know the Barrage/Salvo is sold in a few places not just big box, but it was my understanding there was some sort of agreement with Walmart. Not sure on the details.
